On 5 February in Tirana, Slovenian and Albanian business
representatives attended a business forum where they emphasized strengthening
economic cooperation, signed a Memorandum of Understanding between SPIRIT
Slovenia and the Albanian agency AIDA, and highlighted opportunities in energy,
tourism, and the financial and insurance sectors. The volume of trade and
Slovenian investments in Albania is growing, with significant potential for
further expansion, particularly in services. Slovenia hosts a broad network of
freight forwarders and customs offices, including Intereuropa, capable of
handling all types of import shipments, providing efficient logistical support
for international business.
Intereuropa was also represented at the business forum
titled “When Markets Meet: Turning Challenges into Opportunities.” Samo
Kastelic, Member of the Management Board of Intereuropa, a company operating in
Albania since 2009, sees the current EU accession negotiations as an important
opportunity for further growth and strengthening market presence. “Albania’s
accession to the European Union will also bring changes to the Adriatic and
Central European transport corridors, with a clear objective of identifying
faster and more cost-efficient routes for the flow of goods.”
